Project Food has news of a new initiative and has provided us with this information:
We’re excited to let you know about a new initiative from Project Food, funded by Somerset Community Foundation’s Help Through Winter Grant, to support people in Chard who may be struggling this winter.
Starting Monday 1st December, we’ll be running a Community Cook-Along and Warm Space every Monday and Friday from 10:30am to 1pm at St Mary’s Centre, Chard.
This free drop-in session offers:
- A warm, welcoming space with a hot drink, lunch, and company
- The option to cook lunch with us (or simply come for the meal – no pressure)
- Practical tips to boost confidence in the kitchen and save money
- Guidance on adapting diets for better health
- Ingredients to take home and recreate the recipe
We know winter can be particularly challenging for parents, carers, people on low incomes, adults with mental health challenges, and those with diet-related conditions. Your referrals can help us reach those most in need.
No booking required – just drop in!
