Have you been affected or are concerned by extreme weather events such as flooding, heatwaves and drought? Somerset Wildlife Trust has been encouraging people across Somerset to prioritise climate adaptation — a process that involves preparing for the future effects of climate change.

The Trust have been working in Chard with the Great Mead project with funding from the Somerset Rivers Authority (SRA), to develop a climate adaptation plan for Chard.  This needs to be through collaboration with local residents, business owners, and other organisations. If you have not been able to attend an ‘Act to Adapt’ event, please fill out the survey online.  Your views matter.
