Chard Remembrance Parade and Service 2025

Chard Town Council would like to remind residents of the forthcoming Remembrance Parade and Service taking place on Sunday 9th November 2025.

The parade will leave the Guildhall at 10:30am, proceeding to St Mary’s Church for the Service of Remembrance at 11:00am.

On Tuesday 11th November 2025, a two-minute silence will be observed outside the Guildhall at 11:00am, followed by refreshments served in the Guildhall.

The Town Council extends sincere thanks to the Chard Carnival Committee and volunteer teams for their invaluable assistance in providing road marshals, helping to ensure the safety and smooth running of the parade.

Chard Town Council Events Officer adds:

“Remembrance is a time for the community to come together in gratitude and reflection. We are very grateful to all those who help make this important event possible each year.”

Please note, there will be a rolling road closure in place for the safety of those involved in the parade. This will effect Fore Street between Boden Street and Holyrood Street, as well as Holyrood Street for its full length. There are advance warning signs out to this effect.

Lest we forget.
