Temporary Road Closure: ttro879095S – Old Town, Chard Town

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along:
Old Town – from the junction with Mill Lane to the junction with Holyrood Street. A total distance
of 195 metres

The order becomes effective on 07th August 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months.

The works are expected to commence on 11th August 2025 and last for 57 days to enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas mains replacement works. 

The contractor has indicated that access for Emergency Services through the site is not permitted on this occasion.
