Planning

Chard Town Council has its own Planning & Highways Committee that considers planning applications that are submitted to the Local Planning Authority (LPA), which is Somerset Council. The Councillors on our Committee make recommendations to the LPA to approve or refuse an application. The Committee’s recommendation is then considered when the LPA comes to make its decision.
