Short notice closure from Somerset Council.

Catchgate Lane, Chard will be closed from tomorrow 20 February for urgent patching. The reason for the short notice is that our planned works in another area of Somerset are currently affected by flooding. We have arranged to work on Catchgate at short notice to keep our gangs working and avoid stand down costs.

Catchgate was due to be closed for patching 2 March. We are effectively bringing these works forward.

A signed diversion will be in place while the road is closed. The road will be reopened for the weekend but works may need to continue on Monday.
