This Sunday 26th July Chard Carnival and Chard Town Team volunteers have worked hard to bring the Chard community a wonderful summer event in one of the councils local parks – Jocelyn Park. We hope this FREE event will be enjoyed by many Chard residents and visitors. We spoke to Brian Quinn (Chard Carnival/Chard Town Team committee member), who has the following to say:

“Organising Party in the Park is all about bringing the whole community together for a fantastic day in the heart of Chard.
Jocelyn Park provides the perfect setting, with plenty of space for live entertainment, family activities and local stalls.
A great deal of planning goes on behind the scenes, supported by volunteers, performers, traders and community partners.
Seeing the park come alive and families enjoying the day makes all that hard work worthwhile.” 

Below is the full line-up of stage performances. There will also be an array of entertainment for all the family, such as a rodeo, assualt course, total wipeout and more. You can expect food and drinks for a variety of local vendors and there will be on site toilets.

The event runs from 10:00am-4:00pm, we hope everyone has a great time and appreciate the amount of preperation and volunteer hours that has gone in to putting this together.
