Under S106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 contributions can be sought from developers towards the costs of providing community and social infrastructure, the need for which has arisen as a result of a new development taking place.

Residents are invited to share ideas about how they’d like to see S106 funds spent in Chard.  This money can only be spent on new or improved:

  • Changing rooms
  • Community halls
  • Play areas
  • Playing pitches
  • Youth facilities

Our consultation runs from 30 January until 26 February. Please take five minutes to submit your ideas here Chard Projects – South Somerset District Council – Citizen Space

We will also be hosting and open day to talk to residents in person on Wednesday 15 February from 1pm until 5pm, so do come along and see us.
